Editorial Board - European Toolkit for Schools (2016 onwards)

Main activities

EIESP will be coordinating the EC European Toolkit for Schools Editorial Board. The EC European Toolkit for Schools was recently launched online is structured around five main areas : school governance ; support to learners ; teachers ; parental involvement ; and stakeholder involvement. The Editorial Board will assist DG EAC with gathering and selecting relevant resources for the Toolkit as well as drafting and editing its new content.

Within the context of a Framework contract DG EAC 07/2015, between the DG EAC and the Consortium comprised of Ecorys UK Ltd, EIESP, Danish Technological Institute, European Foundation for Managment Development, and KEA, the Editorial Board was established and will run from April 2016 for one year.


The toolkit Editorial Board will be coordinated by Janet Looney of the EIESP, and comprised of the following experts: Dr. Per Kornhall, Researcher at Mälardalen University, Sweden, Dr. Erna Nairz-Wirth, Professor and Head of Educational Sciences at Vienna University for Economics and Business; Dr. Ward Noumen from the Expert Group on Eearly Leaving from Education & Training Cedefop assignment, Dr. Teresa Sordi Marti, Associate Professor at the Universitat Autonoma of Barcelona, Dr Kristin Kerr, Associate Director for Research at the University of Manchester. 

Expected Outcomes

The EC Toolkit Editorial Board will provide up-to-date references and provide identification, assessment and selection of effective educational practices for the online platform the European Toolkit for Schools. It will make proposals for the future development of the Toolkit
