Activities

The portfolio of projects of the institute covers all the different aspects of lifelong learning: school education, vocational education and training (initial and continuing), adult learning and higher education.

The EIESP has built up a solid reputation as an experienced, international and innovative partner in education policy design, management, reform and evaluation at European, national, regional and institutional levels. The institute contributes to studies for the European Commission (for example most recently on key competences in school and teacher education). It contributes to reform processes in countries in transition and emerging economies and it undertakes evaluations of innovative European projects and programmes (for example on education for inclusion and diversity).

Recent and on-going projects
You can download here a brief presentation of recent projects.

As part of its portfolio of activities, the EIESP coordinates the European Operations for the Universal Education Foundation (www.learningforwellbeing.org), of which it is an operational partner.

It also coordinates the secretariat of two partner organisations:
  • 'Learning for well-being' Consortium of foundations which was established in 2009.
  • Inspecteurs d’éducation sans Frontières. The members, who are education inspectors in France, undertake interventions in international cooperation projects and for education reform. EIESP is responsible for the Secretariat from 2009. The association is chaired by Michèle Sellier, former Rector and honorary Inspectrice générale of the French education system. She is also the chair of the board of the EIESP.
