Consortium Activities & Events 2012

A Shared Commitment to Children’s Rights and Well-being in Europe

An evening exhibition and buffet was oganized on 26 June by Eurochild and the L4WB Consortium of Foundations at the Palais des Académies in  Brussels. It was a wonderful opportunity to exchange among NGOs, foundations and European institutions with an interest in child and youth issues. The event aimed to build momentum for a shared commitment to children’s rights and well-being throughout policy and practice at EU and at national level.

Speeches were made by: Edward McMillan-Scott, MEP, Vice-President of the European Parliament,  Maria Herczog, Eurochild President, member of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child;  Daniel Kropf, Chair of the Learning for Wellbeing Consortium of European Foundations, and short recitals were performed by Hugues Navez, internationally renowned classical guitarist. Please click here to read Daniel Kropf's speech.

Around 60 people attended the event, and the list of participants is also available for your perusal. Please also click here to view the photo gallery the event.
