The implementation of Bachelor and Master programmes in seven European countries (2004)

Comparative research project undertaken by country experts
Objectives:
The objective of this six-month project is to provide information for the
German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) on the state of implementation
of the new Bachelor and Master programmes in view of the Bologna Stock-Taking
Conference in Bergen (Norway) in 2005. Three issues are covered in each of
the participating countries:
Partners:
The EIESP has been commissioned to carry out the French national report for
this research project which is coordinated by Barbara Kehm, Centre for Research
on Higher Education and Work (University of Kassel). The other experts are
from Austria, Hungary, Norway, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
Main activities:
The experts have been asked to write national reports based on the analysis
of existing documents (previous reports, comments, statements, policy papers,
statistical data). These reports will be used as a starting point for follow-up
interviews, in each country, with key actors in the implementation process.
The project will finish by the end of 2004.
