Application of Learning Outcomes in Europe: CEDEFOP (2014-2015)
The study Application of Learning Outcomes in Europe: CEDEFOP (2014 – 2015) examined the evolution of policies and implementation of learning outcomes approaches in education and training systems in 33 countries in Europe. The study was designed to respond to two key questions: a) To what extent and how is the shift to learning outcomes influencing education and training policies at national level? b) To what extent and how is the political priority given to learning outcomes influencing the institutions and practices of teaching and training professionals?
Research methods included desk research and interviews with selected informants to collect data, and case studies focusing on if and how a learning outcomes approach is influencing the institutions and practices of teaching and training professionals. The study was done in partnership between EIESP, Ecorys Polska and WYG PDSB. The core research team included Jean Gordon, Gábor Halász, Janet Looney, Alain Michel and Jerzy Wísniwewski.
The project was funded by Cedefop. The final report is available here.
